Curated for you by our team.

Our specially curated meals will let you experience what we love eating here on Flinders. The mission at The Flinders Wharf is to source and use these island ingredients and to support island producers by sharing their stories and products. With this in mind, this season, chef Josh McMahon and our team have come up with seven key ingredients that we feel strongly about sharing for all sorts of reasons. They are beef, fish, honey, lamb, produce, scallops/crayfish and wallaby.

Josh has designed these delicious and easy meals for you to cook while having the time to experience the island's great outdoors.

A Taste of Flinders

  • Food provenance

Our mission is to support Flinders Island producers, growers and makers as we beleive they are some ofthe best in the country. Our ingrediatents are sourced from Island farms, which include Quoin, Tilba, Yakalla, Robertdale, Corner Block. Wild products are gathered around Craggy Island, The Sounds and Foothills of Mt Strzelecki.

  • Changing menu and seasons

We love our fisherman bringing in their catch of the day or our island growers harvesting their produce and edible flowers, delivering it to us weekly. With this in mind our menu changes weekly as our ingredient list is for ever changing. This is what we love about our food- it is seasonal and we only eat it when it is at it's best.

  • Sustainability

Our goal is to limit our waste. We have little to no kitchen waste and every week we supply our in house worm farm, chooks and garden with food. Some of our waste that we recycle includes food scraps, coffee grounds, cardboard, cans and bottles. All our our pacakging is biodegrable and compostable.
